This weekend was great with 3 fly-in’s in 2 days. I already discussed the Wing N Wheels on Sat
and Today (Sunday) Started off the day at 6:30 heading out to help the move the
Fairchild that the local EAA 1250 chapter is restoring. The fuselage
was towed out for display at the 60th annual PAOP fly-in Breakfast.
I took photos as our guest flew into KPTW. My guess we had 40 to 50 planes arrive that morning. Besides the planes many of the car buffs brought their show ready cars for display. The members of the PAOP put together a great event and breakfast, by the number of attendees from the community it was a resounding success.
A few of the photos below;
One of the best thing that happen at fly-in's is to share the passion for flying, but even better watching the smiles on the kids faces. You never know did you help inspire a future aviator!

Around 11:00 am, I jump in the RV12 with another pilot friend (Bob H).
We taxied down and meet up with Scott and his RV8. We were going
over to Sky Manor for their fly-in, but before we started up we had prearranged
a formation fly-by for the crowd at the PAOP at KPTW. Scott and I taxied
our and with a formation takeoff staying in the pattern, then at pattern altitude
on final approach (SMOKE - ON) as we passed over the runway in formation.
After the flyby we headed on to N40 Sky Manor for their fly-in. The flight to N40 was just a short 20 min flight.

We landed at N40 and
registered the plane. Bob and I walked around looking at the other
planes, meeting with friends old and new. There were some beautiful planes on
display.
I was very fortunate to
be recognized as one of the best planes at the fly-in. The trophies are
handmade by the local EAA chapter members. It was quite an honor to be 2
time winner.
Once again great weekend!
